Beverages & coffee

In 2017 Thalvora opened its beverage plant in Binh Duong and launched its first juice range. Beverages have since become the company's fastest-growing category, with 85 products spanning fruit juices, coconut water, fruit teas and coffee. The plant has an annual capacity of 180 million bottles and sits about three hours by road from our fruit-growing areas in Tien Giang and Ben Tre.

Pure fruit juices

Passion fruit, mango, guava and pineapple are cold-pressed, filtered and flash pasteurised using a high-temperature short-time (HTST) process to keep a fresh taste. Our not-from-concentrate range contains no reconstituted juice and no artificial flavourings. A separate HPP range is treated at 6,000 bar of pressure without heat and distributed through the cold chain to convenience stores and food service.

Bottled fresh coconut water

Green coconuts from partner growers in Ben Tre are opened within 24 hours of picking, microfiltered and aseptically filled. Each bottle states its growing area and harvest date, which can be verified via the QR code.

Cau Dat Arabica coffee

  • Selective picking of ripe red cherries at 1,500–1,650 metres, from October to January.
  • Washed and honey processing at our Cau Dat station, with 18–25 days of drying on raised beds.
  • Lot-specific roast profiles, one-way valve packaging and release within seven days of roasting.
  • Around 2,200 tonnes of green coffee a year, 40% of which is exported as specialty green beans.

Responsible packaging and production

  • PET bottles containing 30% recycled plastic, with a target of 50% by 2028.
  • Wastewater treated to Column A standard, with cooling and floor-cleaning water reused.
  • A 2.4 MWp rooftop solar array that covers about 22% of the plant's electricity demand.

Routes to market

Our juices and coconut water are sold through major supermarket chains, convenience stores and e-commerce marketplaces, while the HPP range and roasted coffee mainly serve hotels, coffee chains and restaurants. For food service customers, Thalvora offers large-format packs, custom roast profiles and on-site barista training for counter staff.

A good juice should taste of the season its fruit came from. So we do not hide the season; we print it on the label.

Our product development centre in Binh Duong trials around 40 new formulations a year, working with importers in Japan and Europe to adjust sweetness and acidity to each market's palate.
