About us

Overview

Thalvora Foods began in 1998 in Duc Trong, Lam Dong, as a vegetable cooperative of 14 households brought together by Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh Dung, who wanted to sell clean vegetables at a fair price. Twenty-eight years on, Thalvora Foods Joint Stock Company is a food and agriculture business with 4,800 employees, 12,500 hectares of partner farmland worked by 18,000 households, and 420 products sold through 160,000 points of sale nationwide.

We run an integrated farm-to-table value chain across five businesses: farming and sourcing, fruit and vegetable processing, beverages and coffee, convenience foods and seasonings, and distribution and export. Our six sites, comprising three plants in Lam Dong, Tien Giang and Binh Duong, two core growing areas in Cau Dat and Dong Thap, and a distribution centre in Bac Ninh, operate to GlobalG.A.P., HACCP, ISO 22000:2018, FSSC 22000 and BRCGS standards.

Thalvora products are now exported to 28 countries, and every one of our growing areas is traceable by QR code. Our head office is in Ho Chi Minh City, but our roots remain in the field, where every successful season is shared by farmers and company alike.

Vision

To be Vietnam's most trusted food company for transparent sourcing, bringing Vietnamese produce to the tables of millions of families at home and abroad.

Mission

To work with farmers to produce food that is safe, delicious and sustainable, with value shared fairly at every link from farm to table.

Core values

01Transparent from the root

Every product can be traced to its growing area, season and processing plant; we are open about how we work.

02Fair to farmers

Long-term offtake contracts, floor prices set in advance and on-time payment underpin every farming partnership.

03Uncompromising safety

Food safety is controlled lot by lot and batch by batch; a lot that fails never leaves the plant.

04Respect for the land

Regenerative farming, water efficiency and by-product reuse keep today's farmland fertile for the next generation.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh Dung

A message from our founder

Dear customers, partners and farming families,

In the spring of 1998, fourteen vegetable-growing households in Duc Trong sat down together in a tin-roofed storehouse with a single question: how could we stop our clean vegetables being forced down in price every harvest? The answer then was simple. We would pool our produce, protect our quality and keep our word. Twenty-eight years later, that answer is still the foundation of Thalvora; the difference is that it is now carried by 18,000 farming households and 4,800 colleagues.

We believe good food starts with healthy soil and with farmers who are treated fairly. That is why Thalvora has chosen the slower path: long-term offtake contracts, investment in seed, technical support and cold storage right where crops are grown, and full transparency for every lot through QR codes. When a family in Hanoi or Osaka opens a pack of dried mango, they have a right to know where that mango was grown and by whom.

In recent years, climate change has made the seasons harder to predict than ever. Saltwater intrusion in the Mekong Delta and unseasonal rains in the Central Highlands remind us that we cannot simply take from the land; we must also restore it. Our regenerative agriculture programme is Thalvora's commitment for the coming decade: protecting soil, saving water, reusing by-products and helping farming families earn a steadier income, even in the toughest years.

We also know that consumer trust is built not by advertising but by consistency, meal after meal. Every production line, every laboratory and every refrigerated truck runs on one principle: a product that does not meet our standards does not leave the plant. It is a promise we have kept since the first day, and one we will continue to keep.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to thank our customers, partners, farmers and every member of the Thalvora team for walking this road with us. There is a long way still to go, and we look forward to continuing the journey with you, from farm to table.
