Food Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist

Job description

• Monitor compliance with HACCP, FSSC 22000 and BRCGS requirements across raw material intake, drying, grading and packing.
• Review lot records, approve releases and check QR traceability from growing area to finished product.
• Work with the laboratory on sampling and follow up on moisture, microbiological and residue test results.
• Investigate root causes of non-conformities and propose and track corrective and preventive actions.
• Take part in internal audits and prepare for audits by certification bodies and export customers.
• Train production staff in personal hygiene, standard operating procedures and hazard awareness.

Requirements

• A university degree in food technology, biotechnology, chemistry or a related field.
• At least 2 years' QA/QC experience in a food or beverage manufacturing plant.
• Solid knowledge of HACCP; experience with FSSC 22000, BRCGS or ISO 22000:2018 is an advantage.
• Careful and honest with data, and comfortable raising issues with the production team.
• Willing to work shifts; able to read technical documents in English.
